#UrbanImpact by the Global Shapers Frankfurt Hub is a series of events creating a platform for thought leaders to shape the future of our cities in light of megatrends such as urbanisation and climate change.
With our Circular Economy edition, we engage stakeholders on the future of cities with respect to their increasing need for resource efficiency and circularity.
Building on the World Economic Forum white paper “Circular Economy in Cities: Evolving the model for a sustainable urban future”, we bring together thought leaders (policymakers, municipality, corporates and startups) in order to shape the conversation on circular economy in cities and come up with commitments and policy asks.
Cities will be our future. Let us all get to shape them together, in a sustainable and inclusive way!
Located on the bank of the Main river, the GreenTech Hub is the result of a collaboration between Finance in Motion and TechQuartier dedicated to startups from across green tech, clean energy and sustainable development sectors, from fields such as green finance, sustainable production and distribution, research and development or communications.
Address: Carl-von-Noorden-Platz 5, 60596 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
“So-called 'circular' approaches - to the city, the economy, design - extend well beyond just limiting environmental impacts. They take on a more systemic, cyclical view of how physical and biological processes, together with human interactions, give rise to sustainable living environments - forming a complete self-sustaining 'ecosystem', like a closed circle.”
